Abstract:
Cristiano Barbieri, graduated in Philosophy at the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum, published in 2025 the first italian critical study on the Viennese philosopher and sociologist, Edgar Zilsel. In his talk, he will discuss, by retracing the chapters of his book, how the conception of science, social processes and the philosophy of history coexist in the Austrian thinker, a pioneer of the sociology of science and fellow of Vienna Circle.
