Research for a study about:

A counterexample to dominance

I got my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Turin. My dissertation The trouble with modus ponens. Some explorations on modus ponens and its failures investigates the role of modus ponens in various paradoxes, both epistemic and non-epistemic. My research topics include the Lottery Paradox, the Sorites Paradox (which I investigate mainly via the Lottery Paradox), and McGee's so-called "counterexample to modus ponens". I am interested, more generally, in all the attempts to provide counterexamples to modus ponens and modus tollens. Some of my recent work is in decision theory and deals, more specifically, with the principle of (causal) dominance.
